Terms and Conditions

NOTE: “the Business” means Hotel Boat Baglady owned and run by Sue and Roy Farman;
“the Vessel” means Hotel Boat Baglady

1. Bookings will only be accepted by the Business on receipt of a non-refundable £75.00 deposit. The remainder of the total cost of the cruise is payable 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the cruise.

2. A booking is not accepted until the correct deposit has been received by the Business and confirmation of its receipt sent to you..

3. Cancellation: once a booking has been accepted you are responsible for 50% of the total cost of the cruise, not just the deposit. Changes to holiday dates after confirmation has been sent count as cancellation unless, at the Business’ discretion, the booking can be reallocated to an alternative date. The Business strongly advises its guests to obtain adequate travel/cancellation insurance to cover unexpected events.

4 The Business reserves the right to cancel any cruise due to circumstances outside of its control. In such cases all monies received from guests will be re-funded in full.

5 The Business shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any article or personal property belonging to a guest which may be sustained during the cruise or while the article is aboard the Vessel.

6 The Business shall not be liable for personal injury suffered by a guest during the cruise or while aboard the Vessel howsoever caused.

7 Smoking is not permitted inside the Vessel. Smoking is only permitted on the Vessel’s deck. Any smoking related damage is chargeable to the person responsible.

8 The Business reserves the right to terminate a guest’s cruise should that person, in the opinion of Roy and Sue Farman, have placed the Vessel, the Vessel’s crew or any other guest in danger by ignoring safety features and procedures. This also applies to any person who exhibits offensive or disruptive behaviour.

9 The Business regrets that there are no facilities for children or pets. Hotel Boat Baglady Cruises are primarily for adults. However, by prior arrangement children aged eleven and over may be carried provided they are under the supervision of a responsible adult.

10 Should you wish for adult guests to join you for a day this will be at the discretion of Roy and Sue and subject to separate negotiation.

11 Whilst the Business will strive to keep to the agreed schedule it shall not be liable for any loss to the guests caused by delays beyond its control.

12 Customers with limited mobility are advised that no facility exists for the use of wheel chairs on board the vessel. Wheelchairs can be carried for use ashore. There are three steps leading into the main cabin and the guest bed is higher than a normal bed. If in any doubt customers should telephone Roy or Sue to discuss suitability. If a pre booking visit is required to ascertain suitability the business will make all reasonable effort to facilitate this at a mutually convenient time.

13 These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
